It is also possible to increase the number of points available to expend by learning and using the "One With Death" feat. At level 5, 10, 15, and 20, a necromancer has 2, 4, 6, and 8 points available respectively. The higher a necromancer's level, the more points available to expend. Pets are available on a point-based system. I'll leave a post with our character names and the times we are on once i get it installed.The necromancer has the ability to summon a variety of undead minions, or pets.
My old SB friends got a hold of me and told me they were ganna start up again, and that we still have all our old chars and the 100 or so runes. Again i havn't played forever, but i highly doubt that this has changed. Now the starting areas (on the mainland) are pretty desolate, and you will NEVER find a group unless your in guild. Back when it first came out there were tons of people leveling in khar or kings cross, but not even two months after release everyone had a guild and was getting power leved by their guild. Actually i'd say near impossible, its one of the flaws of the game.
Like someone else said it is pretty ruff without a guild to back you. Actually you should ask people on newbie island for a guild, since 99% of them will be alts (guessing). Mess around with diff makes on the newb island and when you've found your "keeper" move out and instantly look for a guild. That said, you shouldn't worry about your first character. Character creation won't break your character, but the difference between a rune or those 5 extra points in stam can make a huge difference. And i'm talking like 5 points, sometimes less. What i do remember is that character creation is important, many people will reroll their character because of missplaced points. Its been a long time since i played and i know lots of things have changed.
